BENEFITS TO LANDLORDS

No Initial/Annual Housing Inspections—Landlords may self-certify that their rental unit meets the Housing Quality Standards or they may request an inspection by the Keene Housing Authority.

Less Paperwork—No Contracts to sign; Only a Landlord Certification Form and a copy of a lease is required.

Resident Self-/Reliance Program—Participation in the Resident Self-Reliance program is required of all families: to work one-on-one with a Resident Service Coordinator in areas such as: Employment, Finances, Education, and Job Skills.

Landlord Protection Fund—The Keene Housing Authority has established a Landlord Protection Fund (LPF) for landlords/owners participating in the HAC program. The LPF is designed to protect landlords from participants who receive a subsidy amount and fail to use these funds to pay the contract rent in a timely manner.
