Keene Housing owns or operates over 350 units of elderly and family housing in the Keene area, and offers rental assistance through the Section 8 program to over 400 families and elderly in their own apartments. These federal programs allow the KHA to serve very-low and low-income residents. The housing allows for choice among developments, scattered site duplex and triplex units, and condominiums as well as private apartments of the residents’ choice utilizing vouchers or certificates.

In collaboration with New Hampshire Housing Finance Authority, the Keene Housing Authority was able to expand administration of Welfare to Work Vouchers to include segments of Sullivan County in addition to Cheshire County.
